This Seiko 5 GMT is exactly as I expected it to be having looked at numerous reviews on YT, and I am not disappionted at all. The legibility is excellent in daylight and at night the lume is the best I've seen on my Seiko's, the bracelet is very good with no arm hair pulling. All in all I think it will be a favourite watch to wear.

I do find the watch absolutely striking. The deep, almost enamel blue dial is second to none. The distortion of the bubble domed crystal reminds of a hessalite speedmaster. The watch feels very comfortable and almost vintage proportioned. The applied Seiko logo makes the watch feel even more premium. The bracelet has push pins instead of the usual pin and collar system. The bracelet itself is fairly rattly but it is comfortable. The only down side is the 2 position only micro adjust system of the clasp. I am struggling to find a comfortable fit. The pushers feel a little wobbly, but it could be the fact that I am more used to diver watches.

A beautiful watch with the perfect 38mm size and a lightweight titanium case. However, note that Mega Solar models are known to have an issue with a loose minute hand, which can cause it to sit slightly off the minute markers depending on the watch’s position and gravity.

I bought a seiko 5 compact sport from 1st class watches. They told me it wouldn't be in stock until Nov but then it arrived within a week.
It a bigger heavier watch than I'm used to but I'd wanted something a bit more robust . It took me a bit of time to think about it but overall I like it. The bracelet on it had been adjusted as I'd requested but proved to be too big still . I've just had another link removed by a local jeweller and I like it even more now as it gits comfortably.
I was wary of buying online but this seems to be an efficient and reliable company. I have called them 3 times for various reasons and each time the person I spoke to was very helpful and quickly resolved my queries. The last was about the Japanese, as apposed to English writing for the day of the week but he told me how to alter that. The user guide is online, I'd much prefer to have a little leaflet or booklet but that isn't the sellers fault.
Overall I'm pleased with the watch and the service and hope it works well for many years to come.
